Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakkar Ibrahim have carved a special place in the hearts of fans with their endearing off-screen moments. In a recent vlog, Shoaib added a touch of humour by playfully reminding Dipika about her Sasural Simar Ka days.
The couple’s playful exchange unfolded during their discussion about a family trip to Lonavala. During their conversation, Dipika got annoyed by a fly buzzing around her. Shooing it away, Dipika humorously remarked, “Kitna bada makkha baitha tha sar pe" (There was such a big fly sitting on my head). Seizing the opportunity, Shoaib teased her by saying, “Makkhi ke upar Makkha hi baithega na" (Only a bigger fly would sit on a fly).
Dipika couldn’t contain her laughter and started hitting Shoaib while he affectionately teased her, humorously referring to her iconic role as a makkhi in Sasural Simar Ka. For those who are unaware, Dipika briefly portrayed the role of a makkhi (fly) in the show, which sparked widespread discussion and amusement among fans.
Dipika and Shoaib’s love story blossomed on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka, where Dipika and Shoaib first crossed paths and eventually fell for each other. However, Shoaib bid farewell to the show after initially starring opposite Dipika, paving the way for Dheeraj Dhoopar to step in as the new lead. Despite Shoaib’s departure, Dipika continued her journey with the show, making a brief appearance in its second installment for the initial few episodes.
On the professional front, Shoaib’s last TV appearance was in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 where he secured the runner-up position, with Manisha Rani emerging as the winner.
Meanwhile, Dipika has been away from the limelight since becoming a mother. However, she remains best known for her performances as Simar in Sasural Simar Ka and Sonakshi in Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. She garnered further acclaim by participating in the reality show Bigg Boss 12, emerging as the winner in 2018.
