After a nail-biting season of MTV’s Roadies 19: Karm Ya Kaand, the grand finale episode was aired on Sunday, October 15. Vashu Jain from Rhea Chakraborty’s gang emerged as the winner of the 19th season. 22-year-old Vashu hails from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. Although he started his journey as a member of Prince Narula’s gang, he won the show as a part of Rhea’s team.
In an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Vashu spoke about his journey on Roadies, becoming the show’s winner and the infamous feud between Prince Narula and Gautam Gulati – the third gang leader this season.
Vashu has always been vocal about his love for Prince, both inside and outside the show. Even when Vashu was put in Rhea’s gang mid-journey, he still considered himself a part of Prince’s gang. Vashu said, “Prince bhai told me that I am a part of Rhea ma’am’s gang only for the sake of it, but I will always be in his gang.”

Interestingly, it was only after Vashu went to Rhea’s gang that he started to outperform other contestants and began to shine on the show. Addressing this, Vashu said, “I was under a lot of pressure when I lost the first task. I made some mistakes in the tasks after that due to that pressure. We had some entertainment and dance-related tasks, which were not my forte.”
“However, as soon as I went to Rhea ma’am’s gang, the first task after that was weapons-based, and I’m the best when it comes to weapons. My confidence boosted after that and later, all the tasks were related to my strengths,” he added.
Talking about winning the show, the now 22-year-old theatre actor said, “When I saw the location, I thought something grand was going to happen. I felt the same pressure that I did during my first task. I thought that after so much hard work, now that I have reached the finale, there is no way that I’m going to lose.”
Vashu said, “Rhea ma’am gave me the opportunity to perform in tasks. I had the support of both gang leaders, which is why I won. However, Prince sir supported me throughout the show.”
Although Vashu won the reality television show, he felt that this year, the fights between the gang leaders overpowered the contestants and their journeys. He said, “Prince bhai used to say that this show belongs to the contestants, so they should be the ones playing the game. However, because of Gautam sir’s ego and his fights, our moment to shine would get cut.”
“The contestants wanted to give their points of view on many issues in the show. However, sometimes Gautam sir would suppress his team and not let them express themselves. It also happened in Rhea ma’am’s gang sometimes,” Vashu said.
It is quite common for popular Roadies contestants to sign shows like Splitsvilla and Bigg Boss. This was first popularized by Prince Narula, who emerged as the winner of all three shows earlier. Vashu said he also wants to follow in his mentor Prince’s footsteps.
