Karan Patel Slams Dog Walker For Beating Labrador: 'Consequences Will Be Severe'
TV actor Karan Patel expressed his outrage over a dog walker who was observed hitting a pet Labrador in Mumbai.

Recently, there has been an alarming increase in cases of cruelty and abuse towards animals, particularly pet dogs. Disturbing videos showing incidents of dog walkers, building guards and neighbours mistreating animals have surfaced online, inciting widespread anger and frustration among people. Popular TV actor Karan Patel recently spoke against one such incident in Mumbai’s Andheri, where a dog walker was observed hitting a pet Labrador. Patel expressed his strong disapproval on social media, urging the dog’s owner to take decisive action against him.

On Friday, Karan Patel took to his Instagram Stories and shared a picture of the dog walker and the pet labrador. Revealing the man’s identity, he wrote, “Just saw this walker hitting this Labrador in the lane opposite Cosmopolitan College in DN Nagar. Please spread the word and help find the owner. The walker’s name is Sukhi and he seems to work for quite a few homes in the area.”

“In no way will cruelty to animals be tolerated. Consequences will be severe and let’s start with his walker,” he concluded.

Notably, this is not the first time that a celebrity has drawn attention to animal abuse and ill-treatment. Earlier this year, shocking footage from a vet clinic went viral where a staff member was seen mercilessly beating a pet dog. While the incident sparked widespread outrage, celebrities like Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Malaika Arora, Zoya Akhtar, Bhumi Pednekar and Jacqueline Fernandez condemned it. Voicing their concerns on social media, they demanded stricter laws against animal cruelty. The incident took place in Mumbai’s Thane.

Similarly, another incident from Mumbai’s Bandra also left celebrities fuming. A viral video revealed how a female dog walker abused and thrashed a pet beagle on the footpath. As the video gained traction, actors like Alia Bhatt, Soha Ali Khan and Sophie Choudry slammed the woman and urged the owner of the dog to take strict action.

Meanwhile, Karan Patel, who rose to fame with his portrayal of Raman Kumar Bhalla in the popular TV daily soap Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, has worked in a number of other shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Nach Baliye 7, Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa 6 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 10. Having maintained a distance from television for quite some time now, fans are eagerly waiting for his comeback.
