Actor Sheezan Khan Talks About Tough Days After Tunisha Sharma's Suicide
Sheezan Khan broke his silence on undergoing mental trauma and the days he spent in jail following his arrest.

Sheezan Khan has opened up about the challenges he and his family faced when the television actor’s name was linked to actress Tunisha Sharma’s death. Sheezan Khan shared screen space with Tunisha Sharma in the popular soap opera Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. In December 2022, she was found dead in the set’s makeup room. Following her death, Tunisha’s mother lodged a complaint against Sheezan for abetment to suicide. The actor, who was put behind bars for nearly 70 days, was granted bail on March 4, 2023, by a local court. In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Sheezan Khan has now opened up about the difficult phase, with a special emphasis on his father.

Speaking to Siddharth Kannan on his chat show, Sheezan Khan broke his silence on undergoing mental trauma and the days he spent in jail. The actor said that during the tough phase, there were only a few people who were by his side. In fact, his father was not even there to support him and his family. “Even my father had not come. He’s alive, and still, he never came, so how will I expect anything from others? He is still alive and well, living in Kota, Rajasthan. So when you are hurt at this level, then you don’t care what unknown people did to you. He is there living his life with his first wife, children, and grandchildren," said the 29-year-old.

When Siddharth Kannan wanted to know whether Sheezan Khan was in touch with his father, the actor promptly answered “No". The actor continued that although he was aware of where his father lived, he did not “connect" with his dad for the last 21 years. “He left us when I think I must have been 8 or 9 years old," said Sheezan. The Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 contestant added that he met his father for the last time when he and his mother visited him in Rajasthan “to end everything on paper" since a father’s certificate is required in many cases.

Elaborating on his last meeting with his father, Sheezan Khan said that he felt emotionally detached from him. “I didn’t feel anything. I can’t feel that love" he said, before adding that when his father tried to be affectionate towards him, Sheezan stopped him as he failed to feel any connection.
