With a new app, hotel booking service RoomsTonite now offers 24x7 assistance
RoomsTonite Assist app will provide assistance to travellers round-the-clock to meet their needs at pre-stay, during stay and post-stay in a city.

Bengaluru: Last-minute hotel booking mobile application RoomsTonite has unveiled a 24x7 assistance service to help travellers with enquiries and meet their needs at pre-stay, during stay and post-stay.

"Our new service 'RoomsTonite Assist' application has been designed to help our customers have a hassle-free travel anytime day or night," RoomsTonite chief executive Suresh John told IANS here on Sunday.

Promoted by the city-based RoomTonite eBooking Ltd, the mobile application has real-time connectivity with hotels across the country for offering its users rooms at affordable prices.

"The direct connectivity with hotels ensures a guaranteed room booking even at the last-minute for business travellers whose travel plans are not confirmed until last minute or leisure travellers who take impulse decision to travel at any moment," John said.

The service is also designed to provide solutions to multiple travel requirements of its customers.

The new service offers solutions from informing the hotel about an unexpected flight delay to purchasing movie tickets, sending courier, coordinating with the hotel staff on special room requests, locating nearest restaurants and entertainment to booking a taxi, among other value added services.

Customers can avail the service free by calling RoomsTonite Assist at +91 8880464646 or e-mail queries to [email protected]. Charges are applicable on actuals such as cost of movie tickets, taxi fare, etc.

"Through this first-of-its-kind service, we aim to engage customers, enable them to customise their travel plans, and facilitate the service at a cost effective price and making it available at doorstep," John said.

As a technology-driven company, RoomsTonite plans to build artificial intelligence into the mobile application (app) that will learn about its user's travel patterns and be a travel companion.

"There are scenarios where a human help would outsmart technology. But our assistance service is a one-stop-shop for all enquiries in the travel lifecycle," company's chief product officer Karthick Prabhu said.

When a customer lands in Bengaluru around midnight, he/she can call the service provider (RoomsTonite) and ask about late night fare applicable for auto-rickshaws in the city.

With about 1,000 curated hotels, repeat and happy customers, and a shrinking booking window, RoomsTonite hopes to revolutionise the way a hotel reservation is made in the country.
