Sony Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra debuted at the Mobile World Congress 2017 Barcelona (MWC) on Monday (February 27).

Sony Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra debuted at the Mobile World Congress 2017 Barcelona (MWC) on Monday (February 27). The Sony Xperia XA1 is the smaller in the lot with a 5-inch screen while its big brother Xperia XA1 Ultra has a 6-inch screen.

The bezels on both the Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 have shrunk drastically to almost slivers, rendering a borderless design, which is a major highlight of the smartphones.

Xperia XA1 Ultra and Xperia XA1 share almost the same specifications such as 23-megapixel primary cameras, 32GB onboard storage and both are powered by MediaTek processors.

Here are the complete details of Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra and Xperia XA1 smartphones launched at MWC 2017 today.

Design

Xperia XA1 features 'edge-to-edge' HD (720p) 5-inch screen while XA1 Ultra has a Full HD 6-inch screen (1080 pixels). Both XA1 and XA1 Ultra have a diamond cut-like finish on top and bottom that is held together by aluminium on the sides.

Camera

Both Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra feature a 23-megapixel primary camera. The XA1 has a 23 MP camera with 1/2.3” sensor with a 24mm (equiv.) f/2.0 lens, Hybrid AF, and SteadyShot. There's also an 8MP shooter with autofocus and Steady shot on the front.

The Xperia XA1 Ultra also has a 23MP rear camera, however, it has a 16MP front-facing camera. It includes features like Optical Image Stabilisation and a front-facing LED flash, along with an ISO6400 sensor for low-light video and photography.

Processor

Xperia XA1 is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit processor (Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz) while the XA1 Ultra has a MediaTek Helio P20 Octa Core 64bit SoC (Quad core 2.3GHz + Quad core 1.6GHz).

RAM and internal memory

Xperia XA1 Ultra has 4GB RAM with 32GB/64GB internal memory (expandable up to 256GB). Its smaller sibling - the XA1 has 3GB RAM with 32GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB).

Battery

The XA1 is powered by a 2300mAh battery while the XA1 Ultra packs a 2700mAh battery.

Colours

Both the Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra will be available in White, Black, Pink and Gold colour variants.
