New Delhi: Samsung's latest video for its 'Next Galaxy' gives us a sneak preview of what seems like a sans-border smartphone in metal to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 event in Barcelona starting March 2.
The next flagship model in its Galaxy range is already speculated to drive its design from the Galaxy Note Edge that features a main display curving around the right edge of the phone to create a side display for notifications and one-tap access to apps, headlines and tasks.
The teaser on YouTube for Samsung's Unpacked event hints to what could be a three-sided spill display screen and a metallic body. The smartphone, possibly to be named Galaxy S6, is also rumoured to have a display that is both curved and reflection-free.
With its slumping sales in the smartphone market, the curved screen is touted to help rekindle buyer-interest in Samsung smartphones.
Analysts say Samsung is under immense pressure to hang on to its market share, with a lot resting on the launch of its next flagship Galaxy S6 high-end smartphone due around March. It will need to ensure that the phone does not disappoint in order to keep its global market share from slipping further.
