Bollywood actor Salman Khan is ready to launch his own smartphone brand. Khan, who already owns the clothing brand named 'Being Human'.

According to a report, Salman Khan has gotten 'BeingSmart' trademark registered for smartphones and will foray into the middle and entry market segment. A manufacturing plant in China has also been selected to build handpicked models that will carry the ‘BeingSmart’ tag.
An operational management team is also being set up for the venture, which would be headed by professionals with working experience in tech firms like Samsung and Micromax.

The upcoming line of smartphones will be available at Being Human retail stores and later made available in electronic retail chains.
Salman Khan's BeingSmart line of Android smartphones will compete with Chinese rivals such as Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi in the mid-budget segment.

The report adds that Salman had tried venturing into smartphone market two years ago too but the brands were wary due to the high royalty charges he had demanded.
