New Delhi: Ringing Bells, which hit the headlines with the Rs 251 Freedom 251 smartphone, has now forayed into the TV market.
The company announced the launch of its first LED TV set at an event on Thursday in New Delhi. Priced at Rs 9,900, the TV measures 31.5 inches and will be available in India from August 15.
The specification sheet of the TV includes 3000:1 contrast ratio, a screen resolution of 1366x768 pixels, HDMI, and 2 USB ports.
Unlike the Freedom 251 that the company claims to be sell at a loss of around Rs 900, the company has a decent profit share on each TV unit. "We will make 15-20 per cent of profit on each TV set sold," said Mohit Goel, director, Ringing Bells.
Ringing Bells' TV set is priced competitively as prices for 32-inch HD LED TV sets usually start at around Rs 13,000.
Besides the new TV set, the company also introduced two new smartphones, four new features phones and three power banks. The new smartphones - Elegant (3G) and Elegance (4G Volte) - are priced at Rs 3,999 and Rs 4,499, respectively. The feature phones, however, are priced in the range of Rs 699 and Rs 999. Ringing Bells also announced that it will start deliveries of the Rs 251 Freedom 251 smartphone from July 8.
