New Delhi: Microsoft has launched a new affordable smartphone - the Lumia 540. The dual-SIM phone carries a price tag of $150 and features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720) display, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The Lumia 540 comes with 8 GB of on-board memory and supports a microSD card of up to 128 GB. It comes installed with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim Update. It will be upgradable to Windows 10 later in the year. Betaing under its hood is a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
Available in glossy layered cyan, orange, white and matte black, the Lumia 540 Dual SIM will start rolling out in early May to the IMEA and APAC regions, and to Italy.
