Google Pixel 6 Users Face Bricking Issues: Here Are The Details
Bricking phones can be a big headache for smartphone users but Google seems prepared to handle the issue for the Pixel 6 users.

The Google Pixel 6 series has gained popularity in its segment, with models like Pixel 6, 6 Pro, and 6a being widely used. However, some users have reported a serious issue where their phones become unusable after factory resetting them. Instead of booting back to Android, an error occurs, rendering the phone inoperable.

Google promptly acknowledged the issues and initiated an investigation. The company has now provided a solution and recommended specific steps for users intending to factory reset their Pixel 6 smartphones.

According to 9to5Google, the tech giant has revealed that if the mobile phone reboots after a software update, Pixel 6 users should leave their phone powered on and idle for 15 minutes. Google revealed that after this process, users can easily factory reset their phones without any issues. The company also said that users can reset their phone before installing any software updates. The advisory applies to all Pixel 6 series devices, including the Pixel 6a and the Pixel 6 Pro.

But another question arises what happens when the users have already reset their Pixel 6, and after that, it bricks itself? Google revealed that the users will have to wait for some time to find the solution to the issue. They added that they have identified the root cause but are still working on developing the best possible solution to the problem.

Even though the Google Pixel 6 series received great demand when it was launched in 2021, the smartphone series ran into issues right from the get-go. Initially, there were many instances where users reported connectivity and overheating issues. Recently, in October 2023, when Android 14 was launched, many Pixel 6 series users complained of being locked out of their phone's storage and losing access to their files.

With such a troubled past with the Pixel 6 series, Google is expected to improve these glitches and issues in their upcoming Pixel 9 series. The company is expected to launch the Pixel 9 series in October of this year.
