New Delhi: We all love to travel down the memory lane. Google has decided to help you do that with a new feature for its popular mapping service.

The search giant has introduced a new feature for Google Maps, called Your Timeline, which is like Facebook’s look back memories with your location details from the past.

The new Your Timeline feature is aimed at helping you keep a track or remember all the places you have been to in the past.

It allows you to visualize your real-world routines, see the trips you’ve taken and get a glimpse of the places where you spend your time.

Clubbed with the Google Photos service, you can also have the photos you took when viewing a specific day, to help resurface your memories.

Google allows you to tweak your settings in case you don’t wish to keep a location or delete a day or your full history at any time. It further allows you to mark and rename often visited places for your reference like Mom’s House or My Favourite Running Spot. The places you favourite will appear right in Google Maps when you’re logged in.

The feature is being gradually rolled out and currently available on desktop and on Android. One must keep in mind that the history will be available to those who have opted-in to store their Location History with Google.
