The air quality seems to be at its worst in New Delhi after Diwali. The after-effects of Diwali can be clearly witnessed as citizens woke up to see thick smog cover across the city on Wednesday morning. The Indian military’s top doctor and honorary surgeon to President Pranab Mukherjee, Lt Gen BNBM Prasad said that Delhi's pollution levels are a “death sentence” for the children and the aged.
Lt Gen Prasad said that school-going children would get affected severely by the pollution and suggested them not to “venture out till there is some reduction”. Also read: 5 Common Myths About Air Purifiers And Why You Should Buy One

At a price of around Rs 28,000, the Honeywell Air Touch HAC35M1101G Air Purifier offers a CADR of 300 m3/h along with a coverage area of up to 450 sq ft. There is also a pre filter that removes larger dust particles. Another additional filter claims to remove formaldehyde, toxic gases and odour. It is powered by a HEPA grade H11 filter that removes PM 2.5 particles.
