New Delhi: Asus, at an exclusive media preview, on Thursday announced the launch of three new smartphone - the Zenfone 2 Deluxe, Zenfone 2 Selfie, and the Zenfone 2 Laser - for the Indian market. The company will launch the new phones at its Zen Festival on August 6 in New Delhi along with their pricing details.
The Asus Zenfone Deluxe 2 is an iteration of the ZenFone 2 with the only difference being its back cover. The ZenFone 2 Deluxe features a back cover, which the company says, has a 3D cutting design. While the back cover may not look good to many, but its texture offers a good grip. Also, the company plans to launch the ZenFone 2 Deluxe in a 128 GB variant as well. Rest, almost everything is the same as the ZenFone 2.
The ZenFone 2 Selfie, on the other hand, is the company's selfie-focused phone that sports a 13 megapixel front camera with dual-tone LED flash. Look-wise, it dons the same suit as the ZenFone 2. In addition to regular colours, the ZenFone 2 Selfie will also come in Pink and Blue colour options.
The last in the series is the ZenGFone 2 Laser, which the company says, will have Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The new Gorilla Glass is claimed to have resistance like Sapphire glass and 1.2X tough drop than Gorilla Glass 3.
