TCL communication's Alcatel entered the VR market with the launch of its flagship phone, ‘Idol 4’ on Thursday.
The smartphone comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and a 5.2-inch display with full HD.
It runs on a 2610 mAh battery and sports a 13-megapixel camera at the rear and an 8-megapixel camera at the front.
Idol 4 brings the Virtual Reality experience to its users via VR goggles that come with the smartphone.
The phone also supports 360-degree photos and selfies.
Supporting a 2D glass frame on both sides and 3.6 Watts speakers on both the ends, the device is available in three variants of dark grey, metal silver and gold frames.
The device is available exclusively on Flipkart at a price of Rs 16,999.
Idol 4 introduces “Boom Key” which supports custom-made features for music, gaming, photos and videos.
"The 'Boom Key' boom-ifies everything, from the sound to photos to gaming. We are optimistic that the consumers will love this product," said Praveen Valecha, Regional Director, Alcatel India.
