Makers Of Somu Sound Engineer Promote The Film In Hubballi, Hold Press Conference
In the press conference for Somu Sound Engineer, the film's team talked about the issue of why they have not been able to record enough footfall in theatres.

The Kannada film Somu Sound Engineer, directed by debutante Abhi, was released on March 15 and has earned mixed reviews from critics and the audience alike. It has also stirred the headlines with the inclusion of local people and real-life locations. The cast and crew of Somu Sound Engineer were recently in Hubballi, Karnataka for the promotion of this film.

In the press conference for Somu Sound Engineer, the makers talked about the issue of why they have not been able to record enough footfall in theatres. One of the team members claimed that the film couldn’t make its presence felt amongst the audience of North Karnataka. After identifying this issue, the Somu Sound Engineer’s team started campaigning extensively in the colleges of Hubballi, Davanagere, Dharwad, and Gadag. Christopher Kini, Somu Sound Engineer’s producer expressed displeasure over the fact that the audience is showing disinterest in watching a good film.

Somu Sound Engineer’s director Abhi has earned experience in filmmaking by working under the filmmaker Duniya Soori on his projects. The title of the movie was given by Duniya Soori as well. To keep the scenes authentic, the debutante filmmaker has used real-life locations in the film. This film stars Shrestha and Nivishka Patil in the lead roles and the entire movie was filmed in Ganjihal village of Bagalkot district in Karnataka. The movie is reported to be inspired by true events.

Somu Sound Engineer also dominated the headlines with their music, especially the video song titled Chandasina Chandadalli that went viral on social media. In this romantic song, the actors Shrestha and Nivishka Patil are seen romancing in the narrow lanes of Ganjihal village with the participation of local people in the background.

Charanraj MR composed the music for the film while the lyrics were penned by Dhananjay Ranjan. The vocals of the songs were given by Sidhartha Belmannu and Meghana Bhat while the music rights of the movie were acquired by A2 Music. The movie Somu Sound Engineer remained in the making for almost two years now and showed the life of Ganjihal village which encompasses the daily violence and deaths.
