The creators of the upcoming Mahesh Babu film, Guntur Kaaram, are actively promoting the movie across various platforms. Recently, they unveiled a romantic song from the film, but it reportedly failed to meet fan expectations, leading to online trolling of the producer, Vamsi, on his social media account.
On December 14, 2023, the second single from Guntur Kaaram was released. Unfortunately, the song did not resonate well with the audience, sparking disappointment among fans who had high expectations. Criticisms were directed towards the song’s perceived inadequacy for a star of Mahesh Babu’s stature, and some fans even questioned the decision-making of the music director, Thaman S, and director Trivikram Srinivas.
The backlash prompted a response from the film’s producer, Naga Vamsi. In a now-deleted tweet, Vamsi defended the creative choices, stating, “We know what we are doing! See you guys on 12th January.” However, this response further fueled the storm on social media, with trolls intensifying their criticism. Some users questioned Vamsi’s approach to interacting with fans, and the incident quickly went viral on various platforms.
Meanwhile, the song’s lyricist, Ramajogayya Sastry, reportedly addressed the criticism on his social media account but ended up deactivating his account due to negative responses from users.
In other news related to Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu and the rest of the film’s team are scheduled to appear on Nandamuri Balakrishna’s talk show, Unstoppable with NBK.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram is slated for release on Sankranti, January 12, 2024. The film features Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, and Meenakshi Chaudhary in lead roles, supported by a star-studded cast including Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishna, Jayaram, and Prakash Raj. Produced by S Radha Krishna under the banner of Haarika & Hassine Creations, the film’s music is composed by Thaman S.
Despite the online trolling, the Guntur Kaaram team remains committed to their vision, and fans eagerly await the film’s release on the auspicious occasion of Sankranti.
