'Gritty, Raw Action Film': Vijay Kumar-starrer Fight Club Has Suriya's Approval

The actor-director Vijay Kumar, who dazzled Tamil filmgoers with the Uriyadi films, is back. He is introduced to the public with Thala and Thalapathy in his most recent movie, Fight Club, which is fitting given his remarkable comeback. No, Ajith and Vijay had nothing to do with this movie. However, in the opening scene, Selva (Vijay Kumar), decked up in a ‘Thala’ Dhoni CSK t-shirt, leads a group of people to a dilapidated theatre where the Mani Ratnam-Rajinikanth movie Thalapathi is being shown. Although the scenario is worthy of a star of the calibre of the people listed above, Vijay Kumar sells it with his intense eyes and toned abs.

Fight Club released on December 15 and as the name suggests, is packed with action sequences. The movie released positive reviews and many celebrities are also praising the film. The latest to join the bandwagon is Suriya who has appreciated Fight Club wholeheartedly. In a tweet, Suriya called the movie a stylized and gritty film and said that debutante director Abbas A. Rahmath and said that he loved Vijay Kumar as Selva. He congratulated the entire team of the film.

It’s important to note that Vijay Kumar previously starred alongside Suriya in the movie Soorarai Pottru. The dialogue for the movie that won a national award was also written by Vijay Kumar. Additionally, Suriya distributed Vijay Kumar’s Uriyadi 2, and the two artists share a good bond. Suriya’s tweet caught the attention of Vijay Kumar and he also shared his gratitude online, thanking Suriya for his kind words. “Love you, sir,” he added.

Suriya is meanwhile all set to appear in the upcoming film Kanguva, which is a period action drama film. The movie will mark the Tamil debut of Bollywood actor Bobby Deol. Kanguva was supposed to release in the summer of 2024 but it has now been postponed to the second half of next year.
