Does the PM's defence on the Indo-Pak joint statement hold good?
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday defended the Indo-Pak joint statement in Parliament. Asserting that there was no dilution in India's stand on cross-border terrorism, the Prime Minister reiterated that there was no alternative to engagement with neighbours. He also lashed out at the BJP saying that the UPA needed to take no lessons from the NDA on handling terror and its neighbours. Does the PM’s defence hold good?
