285 Palus-Kadegaon is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha seats in Maharashtra. Palus-Kadegaon is located in the Western region of the state and in Sangli district. The constituency was created after the 2008 Delimitation. Congress’ Vishwajeet Kadam has been elected unopposed from the seat.
By-elections in Palus-Kadegaon was necessitated because of the death of Congress MLA Patangrao Kadam. Vishwajeet Kadam is the son of Patangrao Kadam. Palus-Kadegaon is part of Sangli Parliamentary constituency.
Congress had won the seat in the 2009 and 2014 Maharashtra Assembly elections.
