Narendra Modi has challenged Congress leaders to turn Karnataka into another Gujarat.

Tumkur (Karnataka): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra

Modi on Wednesday said, “Congress has a hidden agenda not to emulate the Gujarat model of development in Karnataka.”

Addressing an election rally here, the BJP leader challenged Congress leaders to turn Karnataka to another Gujarat, where there was “progress in every village and agricultural growth has touched 12 per cent contrary to a meagre two per cent at national level.”

Modi appealed electorates in Karnataka “to punish Congress” as they did in 1977 after that party government led by Indira Gandhi declared emergency.

He urged the voters to elect BJP “to provide stability to the state” and added that his state was on the path of progress as it had a “stable government.”
