Modi, Jung and Delhi Police 'speed breakers' for AAP: Arvind Kejriwal
Kejriwal said BJP's sole agenda was not letting the AAP government work even as he urged Modi to hand over the control of the city's police force.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday clubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and Delhi Police in the same category and termed them as "speed breakers" for AAP's "car" of governance in the national capital.

Kejriwal said BJP's sole agenda was not letting the AAP government work even as he urged Modi to hand over the control of the city's police force. "The ruling party would make Delhi the safest city," he said.

"Life runs on positivity. Car of over governance is moving at a rapid pace. We opened neighbourhood clinics, acted against corruption but Modi, LG, ACB Chief MK Meena and Delhi police commissioner BS Bassi are acting as speed breakers but our car will move towards development."

"They (BJP) are working on one philosophy neither they will work nor let others work. Earlier they used to say naa khaunga naa khaane dunga (neither I will eat (take bribe) nor will allow others) but now it has changed to Naa kaam karunga naa kaam karne dunga (neither I will work nor will let other work," he said.

Kejriwal was speaking during the one-day session of the Delhi Assembly on women's security.

"I make a humble request to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that either you make Delhi safe for women in next six months or else give Delhi police to us and we will make Delhi country's safest city in six months," he said.
