22. Datia is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Bhind (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Datia falls in Datia district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,90,905 voters in the seat, which includes 1,02,632 male voters, and 88,261 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Datia recorded a voter turnout of 76.77%. In 2013 the turnout was 75.31%, and in 2008 it was 75.39%.
In 2013, Dr Narottam Mishra of BJP won the seat by a margin of 12,081 votes (9.29%). Dr Narottam Mishra secured 44.16% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 11,233 votes (11.11%), registering 34.1% of the total votes polled.
