New Delhi: Congress on Monday refused to comment on the arrest of its senior leader and former Chhatisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi.

"He has been arrested on the directive of the court. We will not like to make any comment which would affect the court proceedings as the matter is subjudice," news agency PTI quoted party general secretary Satyavrata Chaturvedi as saying.

Jogi was arrested in connection with NCP leader's Ram Avatar Jaggi's murder case dating back to 2003.

Jogi, who was taken into custody while he was busy campaigning for the Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha by-election was shifted to Escorts hospital after he complained of high blood pressure.
