The Calcutta High court has also directed the BJP to have technical experts to carry out the compliance order of the special officers.
Kolkata: The Calcutta High court has appointed two special officers from the Kolkata municipal corporation and from the West Bengal fire services department to take the final call on Saturday about the compliance norms for the proposed BJP rally by its national president Amit Shah on Sunday.
The special officers would be assisted by a senior officer of Kolkata police and will meet at 10.30 am Saturday to fix the conditions for holding the proposed public meeting.
The Calcutta High court has also directed the BJP to have technical experts to carry out the compliance order of the special officers. The court has relaxed the municipal norm of leaving 20 feet open space in front of the stage on grounds of reasonable logistics.
