A. JDU BJP has been an assiduously built alliance both at electoral as well as social level...difficult to predict results in the light of new caste and religious combinations being worked upon.

A. Cong unlikely to project anyone as PM candidate...they did not I not in 2004 and 2009...one on one personality contest doesn't suit Congress.

A. BJP's reliance on media and lately on social media could be beneficial in maintaining its already existing link with the urban, upper class, upper caste tech savvy electorate...the challenge for the party though is to reach out to the constituency beyond its traditional electorate.

A. Adverse outcome in assembly polls may be detrimental to BJP build up to general election.

A. It depends on the state and the constituency...polarisation can be effective only if one has where withal to harness the polarisation.

A. In parliamentary democracy with first past the post system, declaration or ambiguity is part of the over all strategy of the party...is determined by the overall impact declaration would have in party's over all prospects.

A section in the party seeks projection of Modi since last vestige of opposition to Modi within the NDA has been removed with the exit of Nitish Kumar...this section also apprehends Shivraj as a serious contender post assembly polls...a second opinion underlines the need for giving a free hand to Shivraj, Raman Singh and Vasundhara for state polls and delve on the issue later...a third view seeks ambiguity on pm candidate to seek alliance partners to strengthen NDA.

A. Limited political footprint is a political reality which gives congress a headstart to its rivals in general polls.
