An exit poll by NDTV at the end of the sixth phase once again put the Bahujan Samaj Party on top.

New Delhi: An exit poll by NDTV at the end of the sixth phase once again put the Bahujan Samaj Party on top and projected the Mayawati-led party to bag 120 to 130 seats in the 403-member UP Assembly.

The exit poll said the BJP and the ruling SP were at a neck-and-neck race with just one phase of elections to go. The exit poll predicted 110 to 120 seats for both the BJP and the SP while Congress was seen to be getting 35 to 45 seats. Ten to 20 seats were going to other parties and Independents.

The exit poll says, out of the 52 constituencies that went to polls in the sixth phase, BSP was projected to bag 19 to 23 seats while 16 to 20 seats were going for the SP, 9 to 13 seats to the BJP and up to three seats were going to the Congress kitty.

An India TV-C Voter exit poll, however, gave 17 to 21 seats to the BSP, 13 to 17 to the SP, 12 to 16 to the BJP, one to five to the Congress and as many to others in Thursday's voting.
