108. Baihar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Balaghat Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Baihar falls in Balaghat district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,15,262 voters in the seat, which includes 1,06,746 male voters, and 1,08,515 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Baihar recorded a voter turnout of 80.08%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.14%, and in 2008 it was 75.28%.
In 2013, Sanjay Uieke of INC won the seat by a margin of 32,352 votes (20.72%). Sanjay Uieke secured 52.79% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 4,717 votes (3.96%), registering 31.63% of the total votes polled.
