Already facing allegations of corruption in the Delhi and District Cricket Association, it seems like Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has more questions to answer. Former police officer and president of Hockey India Federation KPS Gill has written to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal against Jaitley.
In his letter, Gill has alleged that as member of the Advisory Board Of Hockey India Federation, Jaitley made his daughter the legal counsel of the body. Gill has demanded a probe into the allegations against Jaitley.
Meanwhile, demanding Jaitley's resignation over allegations of irregularities in DDCA, hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers led by several party MLAs protested near his residence prompting police to resort to use of water cannons and minor lathicharge.
"We are here to ask Arun Jaitley to kindly step down as he is in-charge of departments which would have those documents that could prove his guilt or innocence. So as a good citizen and a senior lawyer of Supreme Court he is duty-bound to follow the footsteps of (LK) Advani," AAP MLA Somnath Bharti told reporters.
