AAP claims Delhi Police bus tried to mow down its leader Dilip Pandey, Bassi says party shouldn't be paranoid
Backing its claim, the AAP on Wednesday released a video of the incident where a Delhi Police bus lost control while party Delhi chief Dilip Pandey was talking to mediapersons.

The rift between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Delhi Police seems to be getting murkier. While the ruling party has accused the police of trying to mow down its leader Dilip Pandey, the Delhi Police has said that party is getting paranoid.

Backing its claim, the AAP on Wednesday released a video of the incident where a Delhi Police bus lost control while party Delhi chief Dilip Pandey was talking to mediapersons.

The incident happened on Tuesday night when Pandey was talking to media over police action on AAP volunteers at Anand Parbat.

Pandey has filed a written complaint at the Rajinder Nagar police station in this regard.

However, sources in Delhi Police have claimed that the handbrake on the bus malfunctioned leading to the loss of control.

Rubbishing the claims of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's party, Delhi Police chief BS Bassi said that the party "should not be afraid or get paranoid". Asserting that the police was not against AAP leaders, Bassi said that the complaint is being taken seriously and action would be taken if need be.

A delegation of AAP leaders is slated to meet Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung over the incident at 5 pm on Wednesday.

What's your reaction?
