Watch | Train Cleaning Staff Throws Garbage on Tracks; Railways Says Will Take Action

An Indian Railway’s housekeeping staff was seen throwing a massive heap of waste that he collected while cleaning onto the tracks outside.

The purported video of the incident, shows a cleaner sweeping trash including plastic bottles, wrappers among other things, and then shoving them outside from the door onto the railway track as the train moves at a high speed.

As the video did rounds on social media, the Central Railways responded and said they will start an inquiry into this.

Responding to a post, by a user, the Railways said, “Please specify train number & date of this. Will initiate action.”

This comes after the Railways have been on a revamp of sorts with new trains coming up, and cleanliness being a top priority of the trains.
