Even though the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou will officially begin on September 23, qualifying rounds for many sports already got underway from September 19. The schedule for September 22, Friday is also jam-packed as the Indian contingent featuring the table tennis squad and the rowing men’s single semifinals will be hosted.
Indian volleyball defeated a 27th-ranked South Korea recently and they will be in action against Chinese Taipei.
The table tennis squad featuring the all-conquering Achanta Sharath Kamal as well as Manika Batra will also be in action on September 22. The first Indian to compete in Modern Pentathlon, Mayank Chaphekar will also be in action in the individual fencing bonus round, semifinal B.
The sailing squad will also be in action across multiple events on Friday making it an entertaining start to the weekend for Indian sports enthusiasts.
