The iPhone 15 series is finally on sale in India. The new models started becoming available at stores from 8am onwards. For those who pre-ordered the new iPhone could make the full payment at the store today and get it picked up. In India, the series starts at Rs 79,900 for the iPhone 15, you pay Rs 89,900 for the iPhone 15 Plus. The prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max are now starting at Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,59,900 respectively.

As people came geared up to make their purchases, many videos surfaced on social media and it showed long queues. The two prime locations were Delhi’s Saket and Mumbai BKC. People were seen standing in never-ending queues just to purchase their most favourite phone.

With 1TB storage, the product is the top of the line variant of the flagship Apple iPhone 15 series which debuted on September 12. Naturally, the price of the product varies in different countries. While it is priced at Rs. 1,59,000 in India, the same product is priced for over Rs. 6 lakh (PKR) in Pakistan!

Now, that’s a lot! An ‘X’ user Pallavi Pandey took to the micro-blogging site and shared a post about the same. “Insane but also true that Apple iPhone 15 pro max costs Rs 7.3 lakh (PKR) in Pakistan,” wrote Pandey. The post went viral immediately and it has Indians drawing comparisons about the massive difference in the price range. This difference comes in as a few nations have gone through major economic crises due to the pandemic. Meanwhile, according to reports, a new Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB variant in Pakistan is well over Rs. 7.3 lakh (PKR).
