The popular reality show Bigg Boss 17 is headed towards its finale, and after months-long struggle, Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, and Arun Mahashetty have emerged as the top 5 contestants. While all the contestants have had an exceptional journey so far, Mannara Chopra stood out as a strong contender. Many of her fans are aware that Mannara is the cousin of actress Priyanka Chopra and has had a noteworthy career in the South film industry.
Mannara Chopra, originally from Ambala, is the cousin of Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra. Mannara’s mother, Kamini Chopra Handa, a jewellery designer by profession, is the sister of Priyanka and Parineeti’s fathers (Ashok and Pawan Chopra). Mannara’s father is a lawyer, and she has a younger sister, Mitali. Mannara has appeared in numerous Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films namely Rouge (2017) directed by Puri Jagannadh, Anubhav Sinha’s Zid (2014), Prema Geema Jantha Nai (2014), Jakkanna (2016), Thikka (2016) and Sita (2019).
Recently, Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram stories to cheer for her cousin, who has reached the finals of Bigg Boss 17 after braving all obstacles. The actress shared a photo of her cousin from Bigg Boss 17 and penned down a motivating note. “Give it your best and forget about the rest. Carpe diem Mannara.”
Madhu Chopra, Priyanka’s mother, also showed her support for Mannara and shared a strong message. In an endearing video message, Priyanka’s mom stated, “Hi Mannara. Congratulations. You have reached one of the finales. I am very proud of you. Stay strong. Keep a strong head on your shoulders, and don’t let them break you. You are one Chopra girl, and you are really strong. Best of luck.”
Meanwhile, Mannara Chopra’s journey inside the Bigg Boss House has been full of ups and downs. She has often found herself in conflict with Ankita Lokhande and Isha Malviya, among others. Her friendship with Munawar Faruqui has been a source of conflict during the season. The two also came face-to-face during one of the captaincy tasks. However, Mannara has emerged as a strong competitor to the other finalists.
Bigg Boss 17 finale is slated to be held on January 28, and host Salman Khan will announce who will lift the trophy and take home the huge sum of money this season.
