Prabhas is riding high on the success of his recently released film Salaar. The action thriller has been getting an overwhelming response from everywhere. It has crossed the Rs 300-crore mark at the box office and seeing such response Prabhas has extended a heartfelt gratitude towards his fans. Directed by the visionary Prashanth Neel, and produced by Hombale Films, Salaar has taken the box office by storm, achieving a historic opening and garnering a global total of more than Rs 500 crore.
Reflecting on the success of the film, Prabhas said,” I am deeply grateful and humbled by the immense love and support given by the audience. Witnessing Salaar’s fantastic run at the box office has been nothing but an incredible reward to me and my entire team. Every single person involved in the project has put out their heart to deliver their best and we are thrilled to see the positive impact it has had on the viewers.”
The mass action spectacle features Prabhas as Deva/Salaar, Prithviraj Sukumaran as Varadharaja Mannar, Jagapathi Babu as Rajamannar, and Shruti Haasan as Aadya.
It has performed extraordinary in every language, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, but its performance in the overseas market is beyond outstanding. With Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire now becoming the blockbuster, Hombale Films has delivered the fourth consecutive blockbuster, including KGF Chapters 1 and 2 and Kantara.
While reports confirm the film’s digital rights have been acquired by Netflix for a staggering Rs 162 crore in all five languages, the official release date on the streaming service remains a subject of speculation. The latest buzz suggests that Salaar might hit Netflix in January, coinciding with the festive occasion of Sankranthi on January 12. However, no official confirmation has been provided by the filmmakers or Netflix.
The digital deal with Netflix marks a record-breaking figure, making it the highest-ever OTT deal for a South Indian film.
