In a case of alleged honor killing, a 50-year-old man, along with his son and another individual, have been apprehended by Mumbai Police in connection with the murder of the man’s daughter and son-in-law. The minors have also been detained by the cops. The incident was reported on Tuesday, according to a police spokesperson.
The accused, Gora Raeesuddin Khan (50), purportedly carried out the crime in collaboration with his son and the son’s acquaintance due to his disapproval of his daughter’s marriage to Karan Ramesh Chandra.
Chandra’s body was discovered in the suburban area of Govandi last Saturday. Concerns about his missing wife, Gulnaz, pointed to her father, Gora Khan.
Khan reportedly admitted to the crime, confessing to taking the lives of the couple with assistance, as they had gone against his wishes and married.
Tragically, Gulnaz’s body was later found in Navi Mumbai.
Gora Khan, along with his son Salman and Salman’s associate Kaif Khan, has been arrested on charges of murder. They have been remanded in police custody until October 27 as investigations continue.
