Korean Stars Lee Seungi-gi And Lee Daa-in Expecting Their First Child

Just three days after South Korean couple Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in’s April wedding, rumours surfaced that the pair is expecting their first child together. The newlyweds’ management agencies were quick to rubbish the speculation at the time. Now, months later it has been confirmed that Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in will embrace parenthood soon. The announcement was made official on Wednesday, November 1, by the Vagabond actor’s management label Human Made. It is suggested the baby is due in February, next year. The company revealed soon-to-be father Lee Seung-gi is patiently waiting to welcome a new life in his family.

“We would like to share the news of a precious life that came to Lee Seung-gi’s family. Lee Seung Gi is currently cautiously yet gratefully waiting for a new life to be born next year. We hope you will send warm blessings and support to Lee Seung-gi. We are deeply grateful to everyone who always looks fondly upon him with interest and love,” stated Human Made.

The Vagabond star began dating the Hwarang actress in late 2020 but the couple refrained from going public with their relationship for years before announcing their engagement earlier this year. It was in February when Keep Seung-gi officially posted their engagement letter on his social media profiles. Two months later, the couple tied the knot in a grand ceremony hosted at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas. Besides friends and family, several well-known K-drama and K-pop idols were in attendance at the wedding. Photos from the ceremony instantly went viral across social media platforms.

While Lee Da-in was a vision in white, with a jewelled crown attached to her intricate veil. Lee Seung-gi opted for a crisp formal bow-tie look on D-day. Several stills from their pre and post-wedding photoshoots also amassed significant traction online. Take a look at a few of them here:

Lee Seung-gi began his journey to stardom in 2004 as a singer with smash hits like Will You Marry Me, Return, and The Ordinary Man in his kitty. He rose to prominence for starring in popular K-dramas including My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho, Vagabond, and Mouse.

Meanwhile, Lee Da-in forayed into the acting world with K-drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, also starring Park Seo-joon and BTS’ V. She has since appeared in Alice and Doctor Prisoner.
