Karan Johar Recollects Telling His Dad Yash About Wanting To Work With Big B: 'He Thought I'd Gone Mad'
Karan Johar recently revealed that he signed all the six actors including Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan for Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in just one day.

Karam Johar has come a long way in showbiz and has given his fans films which are revisited quite often. This year marks Karan Johar’s 25 years as a filmmaker in Bollywood. He made his directorial debut with the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji. As he recently revisited his career, Karan shared that when he expressed his desire to work with Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, his father felt he’d gone mad.

During a chat with Pinkvilla, Karan shared, “I remember telling my father, I wanted to work with Mr Bachchan, Mrs Bachchan, Shah Rukh, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor. He thought, I’d gone mad. He said, beta ek hi picture banao. I signed all six actors on one day!.” Well, we all know which film he is talking about. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham starred all the 6 actors. Back in 2001, when it released, it turned to be the biggest hit of that year.

On the occasion of Karan and his film completing 25 years, the filmmaker is hosting three special screenings in Mumbai. Dharma Production made the happy announcement on Instagram. While fans have already thronged to the ticket booking platform BookMyShow to grab their tickets, it is the price of the ticket that has us stunned!

As per the platform, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai tickets are being sold at a PVR INOX theatre in Mumbai for just Rs 25.

Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai remains an iconic film to have come out in the history of Indian Cinema. Whether it was Shah Rukh Khan’s palpable chemistry with Rani Mukerji and Kajor or indelible dialogues such as ‘Tussi Jaa Re Ho, Tussi Na Jaao’, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai continues to be a memorable watch even today. Apart from this, the film also featured Salman Khan as a cameo.
