Dunki: Sunil Grover Pens A Note For Brother Anil Grover As He Makes His Debut With Shah Rukh Khan Starrer

After a long wait, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki released in the theatres on Thursday. While the positive reviews are pouring in from all corners, Sunil Grover wrote a heartfelt note for his brother Anil Grover who played an important role in the film. It is interesting to note that Sunil Grover had previously starred in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.

On Thursday, Sunil Grover took to his Instagram handle and shared the official poster of Dunki. Along with that, he penned a long note as the caption, welcoming Anil Grover to the world of cinema, “Dunki’ day today. Every SRK sir’s movie has been special to me. And this one is made by my favourite director Mr. Raj Kumar Hirani. It can’t get bigger. And this one has one more AND, and that is, my younger brother Anil Grover is part of this film. Look at the poster you will know ;). Mere Rabba!! It can’t be more special. Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki has finally released worldwide on Thursday, December 21, and it is being lauded by fans across the globe. One of the first shows took place in New Zealand and an audience member from the country has taken to X, previously known as Twitter, to share his Dunki review. The social media user lauded Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani for delivering an outstanding patriotic film with Dunki. He also said that Vicky Kaushal will move you with his performance. Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead.

Sharing the review of the first half, the viewer wrote, “1st half done. #Dunki is an emotional roller coaster. You laugh & cry at the same time. #Vickykaushal will be remembered and yes ‘Hardy namuna nahin hain’ – he is King Khan. Missing home #DunkiFirstDayFirstShow @iamsrk @iFaridoon @SRKUniverse.”

He then shared a video in which he thanked Rajkumar Hirani for bringing back vintage Shah Rukh Khan vibes on the big screen and urged everyone to watch the film. “#Dunki will remain forever as emotion Missing home – Patriotism in style,” he added.

Meanwhile, in India, the first show took place at 5:55 am. Fans of the superstar gathered outside the iconic Gaiety Galaxy and kicked off the celebrations with much fanfare.

Dunki has been granted the U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification and has a run time of 2 hours 41 minutes. The film follows the emotional journey of a group of friends who want to move abroad. The plot follows the exciting journey of those who choose an unconventional route known as the Donkey Flight, showing the difficulties they face on their way. Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, this film is a collaboration between JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Dunki is written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon.
