AR Rahman, Mani Ratnam Complete 30 Years Together; Amul Celebrates With A Special Doodle; Check Here

Legendary music composer AR Rahman made his debut in the Hindi film industry with filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s Roja in 1992. The iconic duo have worked together on a number of projects delivering several big hits in Tamil and Hindi languages. Their latest collaboration Ponniyin Selvan 1, which was released in theatres on September 30, has opened to a massive response at the box office.

Dairy brand Amul, known for its quirky tweets on trending subjects, recently shared a doodle celebrating the three-decade-long association between AR Rahman and Mani Ratnam.

“From Roja to Ponniyin Selvan, a 30 year partnership!" read the tweet from Amul.

The doodle depicts the journey of the filmmaker and composer together, showing both working on Roja and Ponniyin Selvan 1, in the same image. The left-hand side of the picture shows the duo working together in Roja, while the right-hand side picture shows them working together in Ponniyan Selvan 1. The picture also shows a plate of butter in the shape of 30 along with a sword and rose on it. “Many Mani years together! For Rehman and Mehman" is written on the doodle.

As soon as the tweet was shared, the users lauded the duo’s partnership, while some were all hearts over the post. One of the users wrote, “Best combo ever in Indian cinema". Another wrote, “More is still less for these two. Great work".

AR Rahman also shared the topical on his Twitter handle with the reply, “Ahwwww…. Sometimes I am vegan". Take a look at the tweet below. The legendary music director’s epic reply has left many users in splits.

Amul had previously paid tribute to the film with an animated

doodle. The popular dairy brand posted a video of Vikram, Aishwarya, Trisha,

and Karthi eating a slice of bread soaked in butter. The picture also read,"Get your Mani’s worth".

Sharing the image, Amul tweeted, “Topical: Epic film, by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan released!"

Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus period drama Ponniyin Selvan 1 stars Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Trisha Krishnan, among others in lead roles. The film is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s five-part novel of the same

name, which chronicles the Chola dynasty’s rise. Part One of the film also

marks the return of Aishwarya Rai Bacchan to the big screen. She plays two

characters in the film. The movie has been garnering rave reviews from

audiences and critics.
