Animal: REAL Reason Why Rashmika Mandanna Replaced Parineeti Chopra In Ranbir Kapoor's Film Revealed?

Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal is one of the most-talked-about films of the year. The film was finally released on December 1 amid much anticipation surrounding its gripping storyline and the interesting characters played by the stellar star cast. While Parineeti Chopra was roped in for the film earlier, she was later replaced by Rashmika Mandanna. Earlier it was reported that Parineeti backed out of the film for Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila, however, a viral post on Reddit claims otherwise.

The viral post on Reddit has a screenshot of a report from M9 News claiming that while Parineeti was cast in the film earlier, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga found her unsuitable for the part and decided to replace her. While Parineeti was disappointed with this development, the importance was given to the role and not the actress. Multiple media reports have also claimed the same.

Animal was first announced in January 2021 with Parineeti’s name included in the cast list. However, a year later, it was reported that Parineeti had walked out of the film to work with Diljit Dosanjh for Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila. Bollywood Hungama then quoted a source as saying, “She has to get into prep immediately for the shoot (of Chamkila), and unfortunately due to this development, she won’t be able to shoot for Animal as there is a major overlap of dates between the two films.”

After Rashmika Mandanna was announced as the new leading lady of the film, Parineeti told India Today, “These things happen, it is part and parcel of life. We must make such choices every day. You make the choice that is right for you.”

Rashmika’s clips from the film’s trailer received a mixed response from the audience and some even failed to decipher her dialogues. However, the film is receiving a stellar reaction from the audience. Besides Ranbir and Rashmika, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri in key roles.
