Salman Khan’s niece Alizeh Agnihotri who is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Farrey recently revealed how her uncle reacted when she decided to persue acting professionally.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, the young debutant shared, “When he used to tell me that, ‘I feel you are going to act,’ I used to be like, ‘No, I don’t know.’ I was very shy. I didn’t want to say that I am an actor till I discovered for myself if I can do it. I had been training for a few years and one day I called him and told him that I am thinking of doing it professionally and he laughed a lot. He told me, ‘When I told you that you should do it professionally you were like no. So, it’s funny that you are saying yes.’ So, he took it in a great way and I remember his laugh. He has made this situation less serious for me. He always jokes and laughs about it. He has lightened this for me and I am very grateful for that.”
When asked what she has learnt from Salman Khan’s journey in showbiz, she shared, “He is young at heart. He has such a great energy. Even till today, he is so excited about every film he does. He does it with so much passion.”
She added, “It is so admirable because after such a long career when you don’t even need to do it anymore, you are still waking up with that same happiness everyday. That’s something I look up to.”
Coming back to Alizeh’s film Farrey, the movie is all set to hit the theatres on November 24. The film is being directed by Soumendra Padhi, the same creative mind behind the popular Netflix series Jamtara, which delved into the world of phishing scammers operating from India’s small towns.
