Actor Vishal on Monday said that he would not join politics if the government responsibly works for society. Recently, during his promotional interview for his upcoming film Rathnam, he hinted about contesting state elections in 2026.
During a media interaction, he abstained from condemning DMK and AIADMK political parties. But at the same time, he highlighted the significance of addressing the basic needs of people, particularly in rural areas where government schemes may not be reaching the needy.
He, however, aims to avoid revealing any potential alliances or the number of seats he intends to contest. The actor mentioned how he is planning to form a party with a mission to serve the public.
Addressing speculations about renaming the Nadigar Sangam after the late actor-turned-politician Vijayakanth, Vishal said that a decision on the renaming would be made during the association’s general body meeting after consulting with senior members.
