Who’s OG Zinda Banda? Superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Mohanlal Banter Over Dance, Meals In Viral Posts

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal wowed everyone at an award show in Kochi with his energetic dance to songs by Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth. A video of his performance is going viral on social media. Mohanlal, 63, impressed with his dance moves, grabbing everyone’s attention, including Shah Rukh Khan’s. What followed is a social media banter that is going viral. Mohanlal’s dance was part of a special performance at the Vanitha Film Awards 2024. For the special performance, he was dressed in a cheetah-printed shirt and brown leather pants, reminiscent of his retro style from Jailer. Zinda Banda was written by Irshad Kamil, the song is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

It all started when, taking to X, Shah Rukh Khan thanked him and invited him over for dinner at his residence, Mannat. SRK wrote, “Thank u @Mohanlal sir for making this song the most special for me now. Wish I had done it half as good as you. Love u sir and waiting for dinner at home as and when. You are the OG Zinda Banda!!!” And now, Mohanlal, too, has reacted to SRK’s comments.

Mohanlal was quick to reply to this. But he had a better idea. He wanted to groove to the song over breakfast as well. Quoting the tweet, Mohanlal replied to Shah Rukh Khan, “Dear @iamsrk, nobody can do it like you! You are and always will be the OG Zinda Banda in your classic, inimitable style. Thanks for your kind words. Also, just dinner? Why not groove to some Zinda Banda over breakfast, too?”

To this, Shah Rukh Khan quickly agreed and asked where they should meet. “Done sir. Your place or mine?” he wrote. Mohanlal then went on to reply, “Would love to host you at mine.”

Meanwhile, Mohanlal and Shah Rukh often shower each other with love. Last year, on SRK’s birthday, Mohanlal took to X and wrote, “Happy Birthday, dear Shah Rukh Khan! May you be blessed with good health, happiness and success, always and forever.”
