Ananya Panday’s back-to-back promotional campaigning for Call Me Bae has been keeping her occupied. Amid her busy schedule, the actress recently got clicked at an airport, delighting fans with her casual appearance. In a clip surfaced online, she is seen making her way out of the terminal. Making a case for chic fashion in a comfy ensemble, Ananya made heads turn with her simplicity and down-to-earth demeanor as she did not forget to acknowledge the paparazzi.
Before boarding her car, Ananya Panday waved at the paparazzi stationed at the airport and posed for them with a bright smile on her face. She was wearing an oversized sweatshirt with straight-fit blue denim jeans for her jet-set look.
In Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday will be seen playing a rich woman as she navigates her journey from riches to rags after being disowned by her family. When asked to divulge more details about her character in the eight-episode series, the actress told PTI, “There’s a full journey, and the audience goes through everything with her. That was very exciting. But just not the character, even the story that it is. It is very light, fun and happy but there’s something that we are trying to say by the end of the show, there’s a big message there.”
Directed by Collin D’Cunha and created by Ishita Moitra, Call Me Bae will premiere on Prime Video on September 6. Apart from Ananya Panday, the web series also stars Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra and Mini Mathur in key roles. Additionally, it has been jointly bankrolled by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
Meanwhile, Call Me Bae has been hogging the limelight for various reasons, with the primary one being its comparison with Two Broke Girls. As fans continue to draw comparisons between Ananya’s show with Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs’, the actress recently addressed the hullabaloo in a chat with News18 Showsha. Urging fans to watch the show before coming to any conclusion, Ananya said, “Just because this is the genre or the theme of the show, doesn’t mean it is the copy of something else. It’s like, if there’s a romcom that’s already been made, it doesn’t make it a copy. It is following a similar format or genre. It’s a template.”
Apart from Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday will also be seen in Control, Battle Thy Seeds, Darbadar, Shankara, The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair and Run For Young.
