Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are one of the most beloved couples in the Indian film industry. They often express their love and support for each other via social media and their fans cannot stop themselves from gushing over the power couple. However, they recently revealed that it was Dhanush who played Cupid for them and brought them together.
In a recent interview with Hello Magazine, Vignesh said, “Dhanush sir made me narrate the story (of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan) to Nayan (Nayanthara). She liked it. Once she came on board, I was able to cast actor Vijay Sethupathi, who was initially not keen to do this film. He was not convinced about the script. But he agreed after Nayan said yes. The movie paved the way for me to spend a lot of time around her. We got involved within a year.”
Nayanthara said that during the early days of their relationship, they were trying to figure out whether they were compatible or not. However, things happened organically with them. She added, “It was very organic… we just went with the flow. After three months, we both knew that this was it.”
Nayanthara and Vignesh announced their engagement in 2021. They later got married on June 9, 2022. They had an intimate yet lavish wedding ceremony in Mahabalipuram, near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Many big names like Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajith and Vijay Sethupathi attended their wedding. The couple then welcomed twin sons, Ulag and Uyir, via surrogacy in October 2022.
For some time now, rumours of issues between Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan had been making headlines. However, an insider finally revealed that everything has been okay between the two love birds. A source close to the couple recently shared that Nayanthara and Vignesh are “going strong” and are “cherishing every moment” with their twin children.
