‘Suspense Abhi Tak Zinda Hai’: Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu Celebrate 6 Years Of Andhadhun
Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu took to their social media handles to mark the sixth anniversary of Andhadhun.

It has been six years since Sriram Raghavan’s gripping mystery thriller Andhadhun took audiences by storm. Released on October 5, 2018, the film quickly became a fan favourite with its unpredictable twists and stellar performances. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, Radhika Apte and Anil Dhawan, the film has left a lasting impact and fans continue to celebrate its brilliance today.

On the occasion of Andhadhun’s sixth anniversary, Ayushmann and Tabu took to social media to share their excitement. Ayushmann posted a special video on Instagram, featuring animated renditions of key characters and iconic symbols from the film, all set to the tune of “Laila Laila.” The video ended with a message that read, “Celebrating six years of Andhadhun.”

In the caption, Ayushmann wrote, “6 saal ho gaye, par yeh suspense abhi tak zinda hai! #6YearsOfAndhadhun (6 years have passed, but this suspense is still alive).”

Tabu, too, joined in on the celebration by sharing the film’s poster on her Instagram. Tagging the cast and crew, she expressed her joy with a simple but effective series of clapping emojis.

Fans, thrilled by the posts, quickly flocked to the comments to express their admiration for the film, many urging the team for a sequel.

A fan recalled, “The way I still get the goosebumps at the twist.” Another added, “When you think it can’t get more crazy, it gets even crazier.”

Someone else wrote, “rightly bagged the NATIONAL AWARD.”

Meanwhile, a fan humourously suggested, “Suspense khatam kar do Andhadhun Chapter II mein (Finish the suspense in Andhadhun Chapter 2),” while another added, “Deserve a Sequel.”

Andhadhun is known for its surprising twists, dark humour and outstanding performances. The film follows Akash, a pianist pretending to be blind, played by Ayushmann. His life takes a dramatic turn when he gets involved in a murder after being invited by Simi, played by Tabu, to perform at her home. Akash unknowingly witnesses the murder of her husband, a former actor. As Simi tries to cover up the crime, Akash’s secret is exposed which leads to a tense and unpredictable battle between them.

Ayushmann’s portrayal of Akash won him the National Award for Best Actor. The film also received two more National Film Awards: Best Feature Film in Hindi and Best Screenplay. In 2018, Andhadhun topped IMDb’s list of the best Indian movies. Currently, it holds 66th spot in IMDb’s top 250 Indian films.
