The much-awaited Malayalam film titled Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahariyaya Pranayakatha (SSHP) is set to release soon. It is a spin-off, centred around the characters Suresh and Sumalatha from the popular Malayalam film Nna Thaan Case Kodu (NTCK). Both the films are directed by Ratheesh Balakrishnan. Recently, Ratheesh shared a post on social media which is garnering traction online. The caption of the post reads, “Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval’s next. #HridayaHariyayaPranayaKatha- The Heartening Love Story of Sureshan & Sumalatha. The high-budget film wrapped up its shooting last month. Sony Music has recently secured the rights to the movie’s songs, composed by Don Vincent, for a record price. The heartwarming love story will feature eight songs.
After the acclaimed success of Nna Thaan Case Kodu, which bagged seven state film awards in 2022, Ratheesh Balakrishnan is back with its spin-off – which portrays Sureshan and Sumalatha’s love story. Ratheesh Balakrishnan has also written the film, with Rajesh Madhavan and Chitra Nair playing the roles of Sureshan and Sumalatha. Kunchacko Boban, the lead actor in NTCK, is set to rejoin the cast, reprising his role as Kozhummal Rajeevan.
Spanning over 100 days, the film was shot in Payyannur and nearby locations. The film stands out for narrating the same story in three distinct periods. The cast includes a lineup of seasoned stars and actors.
Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahariyaya Pranayakatha is being produced by Silver Bay Studios in collaboration with Silver Bromide Pictures. The cinematography is handled by Sabin Uralikandy, and Akash Thomas makes his debut as the editor. The team also includes music director Dawn Vincent, stunt choreographer Mafia Sasi, and creative director Sudheesh Gopinathan, renowned for his work in Madanolsavam.
Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval is best known for films including Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, Nna, Thaan Case Kodu, and Sureshinteyum Sumalathayudeyum Hridayahariyaya Pranayakatha. He has a few films lined up including Alien Aliyan, and an untitled film with Kunchako Boban.
Rajesh Madhavan shot to fame with films including Minnal Murali, Nna, Thaan Case Kodu, and Kutrachaattu. The actor was last seen in the film 18+. Soon, he is going to star in a slew of upcoming films such as Her, Grrrr.., and an untitled project with Aju Kizhumala and Rajesh Madhavan.
