Stray Kids’ Chk Chk Boom Becomes Their 14th Music Video To Reach 100 Million Views
Stray Kids music video, Chk Chk Boom, featuring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman recently surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.

Stray Kids continues to dominate the K-pop industry with their catchy tracks and unique style. The talented boy band, which includes Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungminand I.N., are back on the news for their music video, Chk Chk Boom. The video, featuring Hollywood icons Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman from Deadpool and Wolverine, has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. Interestingly, the music video becomes their 14th track, after God’s Menu, MIROH, Back Door, My Pace, Thunderous, MANIAC, Hellevator, Christmas Eve, CASE 143, S-Class, LALALALA, CIRCUS and VENOM, to reach this impressive number. Released on July 19, Chk Chk Boom reached this milestone in just two months.

Before YouTube, the song also reached 100 Million streams on Spotify earlier this month. For those not aware, the track is part of their 9th mini album, titled ATE. The album includes other catchy tracks such as MOUNTAINS, JJAM, I Like It, Runners, twilight and Stray Kids.

As per Teen Vogue, when Ryan Reynolds was promoting Deadpool & Wolverine with Hugh Jack, in one of the press events, the actor spoke about his plan to include Stray Kids’ cameo in the Marvel movie. He said, “The initial plan was to have them appear in the film, but it was just the strike happening in the middle and some other issues, and just making it logistically impossible. I can never forget the look on our line producer’s face when I said that there are eight of them.”

During the same press conference, director Shawn Levy spoke about featuring the boy band song, Slash in the movie. He said, “A Deadpool soundtrack is always unique. It’s something that is so Ryan based. His taste is all over the place. Deadpool movies always have a soundtrack that makes no sense on paper because it’s so diverse and disparate, but it just feels right in the room. And the soundtrack to this one, which includes our track from Stray Kids, is no different.”

In an earlier interview with Esquire Korea, Hyunjin talked about how he created his own outfit for the Chk Chk Boom music video. He explained that he couldn’t find a design that matched his vision, so he decided to draw his idea on his iPad. He included details like a red cardigan, tight leather pants, a flowing look and unique red sunglasses in his design. After sharing his drawing with the stylist, they understood his vision and successfully brought it to life perfectly. Hyunjin felt very pleased with how everything turned out.
