Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor has started shooting for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film Padmavati.

Shahid on Thursday shared on Twitter a photograph of himself sporting a beard.
"Day 1. Padmavati wish me luck guys," Shahid captioned the image.
Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who is enamoured of Padmavati.
